What happens when robots play football—entirely on their own?

At RoboFootball, witness a live demonstration of fully autonomous robots competing in a fast-paced football match inspired by the prestigious RoboCup Small Size League. Designed, engineered and programmed entirely by Imperial College London students, these robots operate without joysticks or remote control. Every pass, tackle and shot on goal is decided in real time by artificial intelligence.

Watch a 2-versus-2 autonomous match unfold at full speed and discover how multi-agent control systems enable robots to cooperate under pressure in dynamic, adversarial environments. A computer will perceive the pitch, track teammates and opponents, and make split-second strategic decisions—all while moving the robots with precision and coordination.

Beyond the pitch, explore a static display robot up close and speak directly with the team behind the technology. Learn how mechanical design, embedded electronics, computer vision and AI integrate into a single intelligent system, capable of operating in complex, unpredictable settings. Discover how the same principles driving these robotic athletes underpin real-world applications from autonomous vehicles to large-scale automation.

Step into the arena and experience robotic strategy, cooperation and autonomy brought to life!
