Beneath our feet, a hidden world pulses with life!

Every day, scientists are discovering more about complex relationships within our soil, particularly the vast mycelium networks of fungi—underground highways that stretch for miles, forming intricate webs that share nutrients, send signals and help shape the world above.

At the Great Exhibition Road Festival, you’ll have the chance to step into this secret world, recreating it together on the dancefloor. Developed by artists Geraldine Cox and Emma Bellerby, with support from scientists from the Imperial Fungal Network, Earthbeat is inspired by the joyful, communal spirit of ceilidh dancing, reimagined as a silent disco for the whole family!

No dance experience is needed. Just grab a pair of silent disco headphones and bring your curiosity, energy and imagination.

Sessions will run at 12.45–13:30, 14.15–15.00, 15.45–16.30, and 17.15–18.00 on both Saturday and Sunday.

This is a ticketed event, advance booking will open shortly.
