How do planes stay up and turn on command? Using the simple magic of paper planes, discover the science behind lift, drag, thrust and control.

Become an aerospace engineer as you fold, test and tweak your design to see how small changes influence how your aircraft flies. Try adjusting wing shape, size and other features to see how they affect stability, distance, and control, and learn how the design of an aircraft affects its efficiency and its impact on the environment.

Supporting your paper design process are researchers from Imperial's Brahmal Institute for Sustainable Aviation, chat to them about new ideas and technologies to make the future of flight more sustainable.

Explore the history of sustainability in aviation, see how aircraft design and technology have evolved over time to reduce environmental impact and look ahead to the innovations that could shape the future of greener aviation!
