Event location details

Be A Scientist Zone

Flowers Building, Imperial College London

Explore the past, present and future of medical imaging, its use of radiation, and robotic surgery through interactive games.

You’ll discover how medical technology has advanced over the past 150 years with a timeline game, before putting your skills to the test by controlling a robot to play our version of the classic game, Operation. Work as a team to use a specialised imaging device to first figure out which organs need to be removed, before carefully guiding the robot to remove the organs.

Chat with researchers about the use of robots in surgery and healthcare in the future—how do you feel about a robot doing surgery on you?
