Royal College of Music student Mebrakh Haughton-Johnson performs and discusses his journey from practising in the sixth form common room to playing on the world’s most prestigious stages. 

Mebrakh Haughton-Johnson only discovered classical music in sixth form. Now with his clarinet, he has performed at Royal Festival Hall and the BBC proms, and today sits on his College’s diversity action group to bring diversity to its curriculum and artistic programming. Join him at the Great Exhibition Road Festival to hear his story and listen to him perform. 

This is a free drop-in event with limited capacity. Places will be available on a first come, first-served basis, but please refer to the Science Museum’s website for guidance on booking tickets for general admission.
