Help our Explainers capture that carbon! Join us to find out what carbon is, why it’s causing our planet some problems and what we can do to solve them.

This interactive science show explores how carbon is essential for life on Earth but has become a problem now there is too much in our atmosphere. Learn about the issues caused by burning fossil fuel through explosive experiments and dramatic demonstrations. You'll even find out how scientists are working to remove that problematic carbon from our air.

Ideal for children aged 8+.

This is a free drop-in event with limited capacity. Places will be available on a first come, first-served basis, but please refer to the Science Museum’s website for guidance on booking tickets for general admission.
