Take inspiration from the Alice: Curiouser and Curiouser exhibition to learn illustration techniques to create your own unique characters. Join Illustrator Erin Aniker to discover your own illustrative style through the exploration of Alice's identity and learn the principles of creating character illustration in this workshop as part of the Great Exhibition Road Festival. Draw your own ideas on paper and learn how to transform your sketches into digital illustrations.

Please note this workshop is for young people aged 13-17.

No previous experience needed. Please get a parent or guardian to complete the consent form and email it to us ahead of the event.

For this workshop you will be:

  • Given a short list of equipment and materials to gather from your home in advance (smartphone or tablet, colouring pencils, felt-tip or inky pen, paper)
  • Using a free online photo editing tool that requires access to a desktop computer, laptop or tablet
  • Asked to download digital images provided to you ahead of the event
