Create your own mini earthquake, build your own earthquake-resistant structure, and take part in the earthquake shaking challenge!

Earthquakes can cause huge amounts of shaking, so how do we build in places where we get lots of earthquakes without everything falling over? Think about what kinds of buildings can withstand earthquakes, build them, and test them on our shaking tables to see if yours can stand up to an earthquake. Find out about the latest developments in research, see seismometers used by earthquake scientists, and make your own earthquake to record on our seismometer!
