Event schedule details
Saturday 29 June
Event location details
The Great Hall
Imperial College London
What is the future of Spaceflight? With a successful Nasa landing on Mars and more commercial space travel in development than ever before, it seems like we are on the cusp of a new age.
Space flight takes us to the cutting edge of engineering. From lift off to orbit and landing, Space Engineers are developing new solutions to speed, gravity and motion fit for the often unknown and hostile environment of space.
The BBC World Service with the Royal Commission for the Great Exhibition of 1851 will bring together three of the world's greatest astronautical engineers to discuss space flight at The Great Exhibition Road Festival.
A BBC Presenter will host an engaging panel discussion with generous opportunities for the public audience to ask questions. A recording of the event will be broadcast on the BBC World Service.
This event is free and booking is essential. Booking will open in June.
To be the first to know when booking opens and to receive other important updates, make sure you register for the Festival.
