Meet scientists, engineers, artists and inventors and try out awesome activities especially created for families with children under 12 in the Family Fun zone.
Make an amazing artwork, discover how powerful your jump is, build a tower, marvel at minibeasts, chill out with a story, spin the wheel, hook a duck - there’s lots for families to enjoy and discover together.
Roll up, roll up and try the Nuclear Energy Futures funfair games! You might be surprised what you can find out about the future of energy from a coconut shy.
Discover the wonders of materials and test them to their limits. Design and build an earthquake-proof building. Will it stand up to the earthquake simulator? Make friends with worms, and become an urban wildlife explorer. Meet a toy inventor and try out their invention for yourself. And do you know what a tiger toilet is? This is the place to find out!
Families with children under five can join pop-up storytelling with engineers who have tales to tell about a chocolate factory, a seal with incredible whiskers and a grumpy tortoise. There are food stalls and green space, so the Family Fun zone is great for a pit stop too.
