Join Imperial’s DNA doctors and genome generals as they celebrate the wonderous four-letter language that is driving a revolution in personalised healthcare.
As well as telling an important story of humanity's close ties, the subtle differences in our DNA points to our individuality, as well as our health. This ‘genetic lottery’ can dispel myths – like the idea that diabetes or obesity is entirely down to poor choices and lifestyle habits. To share their passion for genetics, Imperial’s Section of Genetics and Genomics are joined by Output Arts a collaboration between artists Andy D’Cruz and Jonathan Hogg. Together they invite you to contribute to a hand-art mural celebrating this story of individuality and shared history. There will also be hands-on demonstrations, short games, and double helix models to help tell the wonderous story written in our genetic code.
