Have you ever thought about how we might mine on the Moon? Join us in the Space Zone for interactive demonstrations that let you put on the lab coat and have a go at the techniques real scientists use in their research into separating minerals on the moon.

And that’s not all – join in our moon mining competition and find out what it would be like to operate a mining robot on the Moon! Use our state-of-the-art VR headset and race to collect lunar sand. You’ll also get the chance to see the excavation equipment they use on the earth, complete with cameras that simulate the time delay between us and the Moon. Don’t miss out on this hands-on experience which is set to inspire kids and big-kids alike!

This activity is most suitable for children age 7+.
