Join us for a unique chance to create your own Moiré patterns.

Moiré patterns are a type of effect that are found all around us; from the shimmering effect on a television presenter’s pinstripe or checked clothing to the honeycomb-shaped patterns in graphene. In the world of art, sculptors like Jens Zorn and Megan Geckler have combined moirés and colour to create beautiful 3D installations and pieces.

This a unique collaboration between Imperial College London scientists and the Royal Society of Sculptors gives you the opportunity to make your own art, creating your own moiré patterns and combining them into 3D structures that you can either take home or add to our giant, hanging moiré sculpture.
