Speaker: Anna Talvi

Hear from Anna Talvi, a designer-researcher developing clothing created for life in zero gravity. She'll be exploring how design thinking can offer new methodologies to address issues from a human-centred perspective. As space habitation develops priorities are shifting from keeping astronauts alive to optimising the experience. The need for human-centred design values is being realised 100 kilometres above our heads.

Anna will talk about her her MA project at the Royal College of Art which proposed a holistic approach targeting the physiological and psychological changes experienced when living in space. This interdisciplinary project was informed by her previous education in science (mathematics, physics and biology) and experience in equestrian sports physiology.

This is part of our ‘Art of Science’ talks series. Take a look at the other talks in this series.
