Hear from Juliet Jacques, a Visiting Lecturer at the Royal College of Art, as well as a filmmaker, and author of Trans: A memoir, an account of transition and transgender politics and culture.

Juliet Jacques is a Visiting Lecturer in MA Contemporary Art Practice at the Royal College of Art, as well as a filmmaker, and author. Juliet documented her gender transition in a series for The Guardian in a series called ‘A Transgender Journey’. She has also written several book, including Trans: A memoir, an account of transition and transgender politics and culture. Her latest book Variations explores the lives of trans and non-binary people in the UK through archive material and real life events spanning the period from 1846 to 2014.

At this event, Juliet discusses her latest book, and how her identity influences her approach to literature, film, and journalism.
