Speaker: Roberto Trotta
What has Einstein ever done for you? Albert Einstein’s mind-boggling ideas revolutionised our view of the universe. From relativity to curved spacetime, from the Big Bang to black holes and gravitational waves, Einstein’s theories explain how the cosmos changes with time, how light is bent by gravity and why distant galaxies move away faster than the speed of light. Nothing could be further from our everyday experience than such esoteric concepts, right? Wrong! Join cosmologist Roberto Trotta in a surprising exploration of the wide-ranging consequences of Einstein’s ideas and how they shape our everyday life.
