Roaming Performances

Throughout the Great Exhibition Road Festival, the streets will come alive with pop up music, dance and other unexpected performances.

You might come across a dance flash mob, learn about scientific ideas through games or even glimpse the festival from a different perspective through a periscope.

As you explore, listen out for the gentle tones of Imperial College London’s A Capella groups and Gospel choir. Get involved in making some funky noise with the Audio Assault Buggy. And with dance parties from Speaker Box and lively Ceilidh Jams from Folk Dance Remixed, there’s plenty of spontaneous fun to enjoy over the Festival weekend.

Witness a stunning spectacle as handmade puppets, created from bamboo and dyed cloth, move along Exhibition Road. Giants on the Move: A Puppet Street Parade will happen at 12.45–13.15 and 15.15–15.45 on both Saturday and Sunday. 

Design a wildlife-inspired creation and take part in our Wildlife Parade, led by steelpan band Nostalgia. Parades will take place at 14.00–14.45 and 16.45–17.30 on both Saturday and Sunday.
