Ever heard of a robot that’s as small as a human hair? Did you know that robots can change their shape to enter our bodies? Or that they can feel flexible and squashy? Welcome to the world of BodyBots!

Let’s get tiny and technical as we learn how these clever robots treat diseases and assist in surgery inside us. For this artistic workshop, biomedical researchers at Imperial College London have partnered with mixed media artist Woo Jin Joo to give you the opportunity to create your very own BodyBot buddy.

Using recycled textiles to design and make your bot, you will see that robots really do come in all shapes and sizes, but each and every one helps humans to flourish. To help inspire your daring designs, there will be demonstrations of the materials used to build real fibre-robots, as well as displays of robotic kits and more.
