Make a Body Bot

Small stuffed shapes sewn together

Event schedule details

Saturday 6 June and Sunday 7 June

12.00–18.00

Event location details

World Science Zone

Business School, Imperial College London

Not all robots are big or made from hard materials like metal, they can come in all shapes and sizes—with some even small enough to help repair our bodies from the inside!

In this drop-in workshop, you’ll create your own imaginative body bots using textiles, guided by artist Woo Jin Joo. You’ll then bring them to life using simple pull-string mechanisms.

The workshop takes place beside the STEAMing Fibres and Fabrics exhibit, where you can learn about different kinds of medical robotics and find inspiration for your body bot creation.
