Come to the Science Cabaret for some relaxed and creative scientific exploration! Grab a drink from the bar before settling into a game of mathematical bingo, challenge your balance with Tai Chi or test out your dance moves!

13.00-13.30 Kuchipudi Dance for Beginners - Join YouTube sensation Raaga Devabaktuni for an introduction to this classical Indian dance form. Enjoy a stunning performance, then join our expert instructor to learn its expressive movements.

14.00-14.30 The Tai Chi Balance Challenge - How steady are you on your feet? Test your Tai Chi skills as you explore the health benefits of improving your balance with Yiran Lin and Tianyu Wen.

15.10-15.45 Math-tastic Bingo - Play Bingo with a mathematical twist! Spot the hit song titles hidden within these sneaky maths symbols. Will you be the first to win the prize?

16.10-16.50 & 17.10-17.50 Science Comedy - The award-winning improv comedy group, Do Not Adjust Your Stage, bring the giggles with shows inspired by Imperial science.

17.20-17.50 Mushroom Ballet - Join our Biology Ballerina, a professionally trained dancer and fungal researcher, for a performance of mushroom movement.

Visitor information

These events take place in a zone for people 18+ only. People younger than 18+ will not be allowed entry into the building.

More details of the Science Cabaret events will be released closer to the Festival weekend. There will be advance tickets released for these events. 

If you have an advance ticket, please arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the start time. Your ticket gives you priority access, however, as this is a free event we overbook to help ensure a full event and your space may be reallocated. Early arrival reduces this risk.

The Beit Quad has step-free access and accessible toilets.
