Step inside our Science Cabaret where research takes centre stage, with a programme full of high energy live shows and performances.
Grab a drink from the bar and indulge in a series of weird and wonderful stories from Imperial researchers and professional comedians. Form a team and join a quiz about the secret science of attraction, or chill out to a musical performance exploring the environment.

Saturday
12.45–13.20 The Quantum Disco - Take to the tiniest disco floor in the universe as we shrink down to explore the quantum realm through dance!
13.55–14.25 The Science of Attraction Quiz - Assemble a team for a quiz that will take you through the surprising science of attraction and desire. Win prizes for the top scores!
15.05–15.50 This Turning World: Nature Music - Music, images and poetry combine in a performance exploring the natural world by students from the Royal College of Music.
16.20–17.00 The Story Collider: Finding Your Path - Join award-winning podcast The Story Collider for their live storytelling show. True stories, real people. This is science you can feel. Featuring Kat Arney, a multi award-winning science writer, public speaker and broadcaster, and Austen El-Osta, the Director of the Self-Care Academic Research Unit at Imperial College London, where his work focuses on advancing self-care as a core component of health systems.
17.20–18.00 The Story Collider: Changing Perspectives - Join award-winning podcast The Story Collider for their live storytelling show. Featuring Becky Stewart, an Associate Professor in Interactive Systems in the Dyson School of Design Engineering at Imperial College London, and Alex Lathbridge, a biochemist and computational biologist with a PhD in novel peptide therapeutics, who hosts the award-winning podcast, Why Aren’t You A Doctor Yet?

14.50–15.50 The Chemistry of Curiosity: Science and Sip - Get hands-on and explore the chemistry of curiosity at Lit Lab’s Science and Sip session where you'll make a colour-changing drink followed by a dramatic chemical reaction!
16.20–17.00 Science Comedy: Water - The award-winning improv comedy group, Do Not Adjust Your Stage present improvised sketch comedy inspired by a scientific talk from Martha Day, a PhD student in Imperial College London's Hydrology and Water Resources research group.
17.20–18.00 Science Comedy: Self-Care - The award-winning improv comedy group, Do Not Adjust Your Stage, present improvised sketch comedy inspired by a scientific talk by Austen El-Osta, Director of the Self-Care Academic Research Unit at Imperial College London.

These are ticketed events, suitable for adults only. Science Cabaret takes place in a zone for people 18+ only. People younger than 18+ will not be allowed entry into the building.
The Adults Only Zone has step-free access and accessible toilets.
