Journey off-planet in our out-of-this-world Space Zone. Tour our local cosmic neighbourhood as you make your own ping pong comets, code a model Mars rover, and enjoy beautiful images of the surface of Venus. Learn about the technology supporting human and robotic exploration of the cosmos by sending interplanetary messages using microwave lasers or tracking satellites passing overhead in real time.

Interested in understanding the universe on a fundamental or sub-atomic level? Check out the tiny cosmic particles trapped inside our cloud chamber, before talking worm holes and time travel with theoretical physicists.

Families can also round off their time in the zone with an explosive space show designed for kids, where they can explore distant planets, icy moons and see a rocket blast off!
