Join us for an exciting show about Chemical Engineering! Meet real life chemists and explore how we make tiny molecules at massive scales. Meet Hydrogen, and through amazing reactions, slime and explosions discover how we create and transport the chemicals we use every day! In this interactive show we’ll explore the real-life uses of chemistry as we ooze, pop, explode and freeze our way towards a more sustainable future!
The shows will run at 13.00–13.40, 14.20–15.00, 15.40–16.20, and 17.00–17.40 on both Saturday and Sunday.
The show starting at 14.20 on Sunday 8 June will be BSL interpreted.
The Super-Cool Chemistry Show is supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
The first advance tickets have been released for this event and more will be released closer to the Festival weekend. There will also be drop-in spaces available on the day.
Visitor information
This is a ticketed event that is best suited for ages 5–12. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The event has step-free access.
Please arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the start time. Advance tickets give you priority access, however, as this is a free event, if you do not arrive 10 minutes before the start time your space may be reallocated. Early arrival reduces this risk.
