The Family stage is a relaxed space to drop in and enjoy a show. The programme is packed with interactive storytelling sessions, quizzes, and demonstrations especially for families. You might catch tales of trees, suffragettes or the wonders of the universe. Perhaps you'll help to launch a rocket, triumph in a dinosaur quiz, hear some live opera or join a march.
Step-free access. Families may be asked to leave buggies outside the space at busy times.
All shows are BSL interpreted.

How much do you think you know about dinosaurs? Will you come out tricera-tops or will you be a saur loser? Join us for a fun family challenge and put your knowledge to the test!
Tree-mendous Adventures
Get your adventure gear ready, look closer and investigate trees with the Science Museum's Explainer team. You'll explore why trees are so important and why we need to protect them in this interactive storytelling session for children aged 3 to 7 years old.
All the Colours of the Universe
Journey through the cosmos with storyteller Helen Tozer and cosmologist Claudia de Rham. Discover how scientists can use rainbows and gravitational waves to see and hear the universe in this magical storytelling session.
